Dating, Mating and Procreating: Cultural Rituals of Love

Culture Club continues it’s lively programming by highlighting the the shared commonalities between courtship in Muslim and Jewish cultures (and beyond). This Valentine’s Day themed event brings to light the complexities of interfaith and inter-racial coupling through selected film clips, and staged theatrical scenes from the play Disgraced. We will celebrate the rituals of wedding ceremonies by enacting practices from Muslim and Jewish weddings and sharing tasty treats commonly found at wedding celebrations.
