Join WHARR, Get Organized BK and RunNYC for a happy hour and fundraiser for Liuba Grechen Shirley on Monday, June 18 at the Armory bar in the North Slope. The federal primary is June 26th, and Liuba needs to keep up her fundraising to put her over the edge! She is a true progressive, a leader, young mom and trailblazer who is a running a historic campaign against 25 year Republican incumbent Peter King in a district with more registered Democrats than Republicans. King supported the Muslim ban and ACA repeal, voted against the Dream Act, and recently compared NFL players who kneel for the anthem to Nazis. Liuba is the only candidate to have a viable campaign against King in decades and she needs your support!
