April 18, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The next Water For Grassroots meeting will be Wednesday, April 18, from 7:00 to 8:45 pm in Brooklyn.
We’ll talk about our work with Lancaster Stands Up in Pennsylvania, including our May 5 canvassing trip (see below) and what’s coming up between now & the November election. We’ll discuss our work with Organize Florida & other groups to help pass Florida’s voting-rights referendum, which (if it gets the required 60% support) would restore voting rights to 1.6 million people with felony convictions. Text-banking, phone-banking, & envelope-stuffing will all be needed in our Florida support work, & at this meeting we’ll plan how to carry that out. We’ll also have the latest news on both organizing campaigns.
The meeting will be at 202 Berkeley Place, between 7th & 8th Avenues in Park Slope. Closest subway stops are Grand Army Plaza on the 2/3 lines, or the 7th Avenue stop on the Q or B. The Union St. stop on the R train is also not far.
