August 1 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Kolot Chayeinu and Congregation Beth Elohim’s Refugee Task Force present a screening of Undeterred featuring Sophie Smith, local organizer and aid worker in Arivaca, Arizona. Screening will be at 7 pm in the social hall at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Pl. RSVP here.

Undeterred is an award-winning documentary portrait of community resistance to border militarization in the small rural town of Arivaca, Arizona. Arivaca residents have mobilized to demand rights and provide aid to those seeking a better life. We will discuss actions to take in response to the humanitarian crisis manufactured by the increasing violence of border enforcement.

This is a powerful film that brings together the frightening, growing power of the Border Patrol with the work people in the US are doing leaving water for those crossing the desert.
