Organize.Mobilize.Vote. Happy Hour with BVA

September 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Organize mobile and vote happy hour flyer

With midterms just around the corner, we know that organizers and leaders are working around-the-clock to energize voters. And while there’s still a great deal of work left to do, that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! Join motivote and Platform at for Organize. Mobilize. Vote. (and then keep working): Happy hour on Thursday, September 20th at 6:00 pm at Tijuana Picnic, in NYC’s Lower East Side.

The date, one week after the (second!) New York Primary Election of 2018 and less than 2 months before the midterms, is intentional. Our goal is to bring together leaders and engaged citizens in the midst of a busy time, so we can support each other, share information, and celebrate our work. We’re also getting energized to keep our momentum up well beyond November. Because while we celebrate our voting power, we know that for many, voting isn’t an option, whether that’s because of physical inaccessibility, or outdated, restrictive laws.

We are thrilled to have Zach Borodin, Disability Rights New York’s Voting Access Advocate, as well as Maya Contreras and Mia Brett, founders of AWP, share important words on how we can all get to work to make voting accessible for all.

This event is possible thanks to our wonderful partners: Lean In NYC, All In Together, The AWP, She Will Rise, Amplify Her NYC, Token, Brooklyn Voters Alliance, and Ms. Foundations’s Young Professionals Advisory Committee
