Medicine / Music at Bar Chord
July 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Please join us at Bar Chord on July 30th for an evening of music and health care justice!
Bar Chord – 1008 Cortelyou Rd, Brooklyn, NY
Tuesday, July 30 / 7:30 PM
No cover charge and no insurance premiums, deductibles or copays! Wheelchair accessible.
Featuring a special performance by the musician/activist band Health of Nations (JP Schlegelmilch, Mare Berger, Adam Schneit, Dan Loomis, Martin Urbach + special guests) with a presentation about the NY Health Act by Dr. Danny Lugassy (AKA DJ Plates).
Access to healthcare for musicians and artists can be particularly limited & irregular as many work in a freelance capacity and are chronically uninsured or underinsured.
We invite musicians, artists & the entire community to join us to share their stories of struggling to navigate the US healthcare system, enjoy an evening of music, and learn how to get involved in advocating for a guaranteed, comprehensive, universal healthcare system in NY State by supporting the NY Health Act.
Open jam session after the presentation, musicians please bring your instruments & join in!
Music is good for the mind, body and soul and so is single payer!
Many thanks to Bar Chord, proud endorser of the NY Health Act, for hosting this evening of live music in support of this important legislation.
July 30th is Medicare’s anniversary, what better way to celebrate than by helping to build a movement for healthcare for all!
Come find out what sets single payer programs like Medicare for All & the NY Health Act apart from all the rest.
Let us know if you are coming here.
